Content Marketing
The Eau Claire Marketing Professionals Network had our first ‘special session’ on Content Marketing today so I thought I would share some of the resources and materials that I found during preparation for the event. A small group attended, but we had some great discussion and came away with maybe a few ideas of how to get the most out of content marketing.
If I could also say, I think content marketing needs to have more focus in marketing activities, especially now that the avenues presented by social media are so accessible to small businesses. Even if you only start with one great (“remarkable”) piece of content and use the numerous online (or offline) media to publish and distribute it, I think many small businesses will see a greater return on that small investment of time and effort than they ever imagined.
Here are some materials from the presentation:
- Presentation Slides yes, I actually did the boring, run-of-the-mill presentation…boo

Also, for those who are part of the ECMPN, remember we meet the first Friday of February…the 5th – so mark your calendars. You can see the calendar here to see what we’re talking about.
Post comments if you have them about content marketing. One of the questions that came up in our discussion was how to manage the production of content. How have others managed producing content? How do you make it cost-effective?
